Film Marketing
Film marketing is often associated with film review because it is an accepted fact that film reviews more often than not have an impact on the box office or rentals and sales performance of a particular movie. There are some sectors that contend that well financed movie marketing cannot be affected by harsh film reviews, however, this premise has been disproved a number of times already. Critically acclaimed independent films have also benefited unexpected success from fabulous reviews which is an indication of the extreme critical reactions that can apply considerable influence.
Studios have ample respect for film reviewers to the extent that film producers have refused to provide advanced screening because they have little confidence on the success of a particular film. This has a negative impact though because film reviewers send out warnings to the public on the possibility that it is not worth seeing.
